I like that Gear is basically FULL of alleys and shortcuts. There clearly are roads and vehicles, but it's way faster to cut through a little 6 foot gap between buildings instead (also, lbr, that's the kind of character Foyle is anyway). I also remember making a very conscious choice to avoid putting sidewalks around old town, as I think they're a little too modern feeling to belong here.
