So this past weekend I set up a little online shop to sell some of my art and merch!  This is something I've wanted to set up for a while and I'm pretty excited to finally get to launch!

Right now I have a couple Missing Monday and Erstwhile inspired necklaces and a couple print designs in stock but I hope to expand what I carry in the future once I get the hang of everything :)

My last two conventions of the year are coming up!

I will be at San Francisco Zinefest on September 3rd in Golden Gate Park with a table full of tiny zines and original watercolor mermaids in teacups. It's a more themed table than I usually do and I'm really excited to get to share off this flock of beauties. They look so pretty you guys ;_;

The following weekend I'll be at Rose City Comic Con in Portland from September 8-10 at table A-03 (map here). I will have all and sundry things including the debut of my second teamaids artbook/zine and a sketch zine of Missing Monday drawings, collecting my favorites from the June daily drawing exercise. I will also be offering tiny painting commissions in advance or on site, details about how to reserve a commission slot are posted here.

Looking forward to seeing some of you guys there!

(After I catch my breath I'll also update my con schedule for 2018, but so far I am waiting to finalize my spot in Emerald City 2018 and I just reserved my hotel for Clexacon in Vegas. So those two are happening for sure!)

Missing Monday is now on patreon!

If you’re a fan of the comics I make and you’re looking for a way to show your support, consider becoming a monthly patreon backer. Backers will get early access to each week’s Missing Monday page and behind the scenes peeks at stuff I’m working on.

As always, thanks so much for reading, sharing, enjoying, and supporting my work! <3

Erstwhile volume 3 is now live on kickstarter!

Gina, Louisa and I have launched the kickstarter for the third and final volume of our fairytale anthology, Erstwhile! This volume collects the last 9 stories posted to our site and an all-new book exclusive short that I'll be illustrating if our project funds :D

This volume would include two of my all time favorite stories that I've adapted for Erstwhile: The Singing Springing Lark and The Twelve Huntsmen. Both comics center around adventurous female characters going on two very different quests to win back their beloveds. Hopefully we can get them into print! (At the time of the post we are SUPER CLOSE you guys! Just a little bit more and we can start aiming for stretch goals!)

You can check out our kickstarter site for more info, previews of the comic, and a look at some of the cool goodies available to backers only (I'm dying for one of those lunchboxes myself ^__^).

Thank you so much for your support!

Rose City Comic Con 2016

Last con for me this year is Rose City Comic Con September 10-11 in Portland! It’s an awesome show and everyone is always so nice, I’m so excited to be back :D Plus, Portland! (Who’s going to eat all the donuts and shop all the thrift stores? Hint, mee)

I’ll be tabling in the Artist Alley at table A-08.

Some of the things I’ll have at my table this year:

  • Erstwhile volume 1&2 hardcovers
  • debut of the teamaid zine!
  • original charm jewelry
  • tiny watercolor paintings
  • original and fanwork prints

My commission queue is also officially open! If you’re interested in nabbing a wee watercolor of your very own you can either contact me in advance for a pre-order (cozyfire @ gmail) or swing by my table early in the weekend to reserve a spot. Hope to see some of you guys there ^_^

In a last minute change of plans I'll be attending Fanime 2015 afterall! I'll be in the Artist Alley at table 220 with Erstwhile books, minicomics, jewelry, prints, and lots of little watercolors.

I'll be doing a limited number of tiny painting commissions while on site - interested folks should either email me in advance (cozyfire @ gmail) or swing by early in the weekend :)

Hope to see some of you guys there!

Meanwhile, looking for more comics by me to tide you over between updates? My newest fairytale adaptation, The Wolf and the Seven Kids, recently started running on Erstwhile. It's a short story about seven baby goats left home alone for the afternoon and a very hungry wolf. New pages post every Monday and Thursday!

Quick bump to let folks know I'll be at Spring Kraken Con this coming weekend at the Oakland Convention Center! I'll be at table A29 in the Artist Alley/Dealer's Hall and I will have all my goods and sundry with me for sale, including the Missing Monday necklaces :) If you're in the area feel free to come by and say hello!

I'll be at Emerald City Comic Con this weekend (March 27-29 at the Seattle convention center)! It's my first time going and I'm so excited to check it out! You can find me at table MM-03 up on the 6th floor and I'll be there all weekend with prints, pins, mini illustrations, and copies of the Erstwhile books. I'm thrilled to debut something I've had in the works for a while: Missing Monday necklaces!

I'm also excited to share the anniversary pic I posted to tumblr a couple of weeks ago, which I'll be selling prints of at the con:

I'm looking forward to a good show and soaking up some Seattle rain! If you're in the area or attending ECCC, please feel free to stop by and say hello :)

I'm super pleased to announce that as of this spring Missing Monday will be joining digital publisher Hiveworks as an affiliate!

What this means for you guys: the site will be getting a makeover sometime in the near future (yay!) and the URL of the comic will be changing to (so be sure to update your bookmarks!).

Suffice to say I'm pretty excited :)

Meanwhile, I went through the archives this weekend and did some clean-up. I switched chapters 2 and 3 around so that the beginning of the story flows chronologically, as well as changing the page titles so that the archive is much easier to navigate. And, while I was at it, I upped the page size a little bit so the pages read better on standard size monitors.

There are a few other things I'd like to unveil in the near future but they'll probably have to wait until after I'm done getting ready for Emerald City Comic Con in March. Stay tuned for those!

I'm very excited for these updates, and I hope you are too! :) Thanks again for reading, commenting, and sharing Missing Monday. Here's to big things in 2015!

Hey all, long time no blog!

Rose City Comic Con:
As keen eyed readers might have spotted in the side bar, I'll be exhibiting at Rose City Comic Con in Portland, September 20-21. My table is G-11 in the Artist Alley and I've made a con map that shows where exactly G-11 is. You'll be able to spot me by the big ol' blue banner with Monday and Foyle on it :)

I will be there with my mini comics, my little book 'o burlesque lifedrawings, both Erstwhile volumes, prints from Missing Monday and Erstwhile, and tiny original watercolors! If you already have one of my books you can also bring it by and I'll sketch in it for you.

I do also take commissions, in advance and on site, for tiny watercolors. Contact me by email (cozyfire @ gmail) or swing by early in the weekend if interested.

Not able to find me at cons but still want to pick up my minicomics? Good news, I've got ebooks of my minicomics available for purchase through gumroad. No Missing Monday books/minicomics yet, but I'm hoping to change that in the very near future ;)

Other Comics:
I recently finished my long-running journal comic, Littlest Elle, after seven years :) The archives will remain free to read online for the foreseeable future.

My newest fairytale comic, the Twelve Huntsmen, is almost complete! You can check it out over at the Erstwhile site.

Took a walk down memory lane thinking about how this comic got started. I was going to blog, but then I ended up blogging via journal comic instead :)

Funny how the creative process isn't ever straight forward, right?

In hindsight, I think it's probably good I was able to mature as a writer before this comic launched ;)

Missing Monday has officially been online for three years now :) As always, please enjoy some gratuitously adorable Monday/Foyle celebration art.

Foyle really is that short.
Thanks everybody for reading along with me this far! I can't wait to jump into year 4, I think it should be a fun one *grin*
